The Make-A-Wish Foundation was founded in 1980 after a little boy named Chris Greicius realized his heartfelt wish to become a police officer. Since its humble beginnings, the organization has blossomed into a worldwide phenomenon, reaching more than 250,000 children around the world.
Although it has become one of the world's most well-known charities, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has maintained the grassroots fulfillment of its mission.
The Make-A-Wish International grants wishes to children and young people who have life-threatening with serious illnesses, to bring them hope, strength and joy. The Make-A-Wish has become the largest organization of "wish granting" of the world. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of America grants wishes to children in the United States, Guam and Puerto Rico, through 65 branches. The Make-A-Wish International serves the interests and fulfills the desires of children outside the U.S., present in more than 35 countries in 5 continents. With the help of generous donors and more than 30,000 volunteers, the Make-A-Wish has conducted more than 225,000 wishes worldwide since its inception.
And they are creating more branches worldwide with the motto: "We look forward to continuing to spread the hope, strength and joy throughout the world."
We can also join to help these children to achieve their dreams: http://www.makeawish.pt/

Dear Telma
your post is a copy of the page of this foundation. It would have been better if you wrote some words of yours. Nevertheless, it is a very important foundation.
