Pripyat, and abandoned city

Hello everyone. I'm here to talk about Pripyat, an abandoned city in the Northern Ukraine.

Pripyat was founded on 4th February 1970. In 1979 was officially proclaimed as a city. However, it was abandoned after the Chernobyl nuclear accident. After this accident, the entire city was evacuated and the families were forced to leave everything behind, even against their will. The evidence suggests that, currently, the city has only two inhabitants, and only a small group of researchers, scientists and members of the military have access to the city. Unauthorised entry is punishable with imprisonment and tourists visiting the city have special licenses.
